The Laurentians : Winter Getaway

Manoir Saint-Sauveur, Quebec

I love the Laurentians.

Located north of Montreal, I spent several days in the Laurentians a couple of winters ago.

Manoir Saint-Saveur was my home base for the cold weather getaway. With lovely rooms and an on-site spa, the inn has added 26 suites in a pavilion called
Avoriaz.

Each suite has a 32'' plasma screen, wet bar, espresso machine, bathroom with heated floor, separate glass shower and double spa bath. Other comforts include a king-sized bed and duvet, double sofa bed, balcony, wooden floor and stone fireplace.

It's a cozy mountain getaway with urban comforts.

Downhill skiing is nearby at Mont Saint-Sauveur, Mont Avila, Ski Morin Height, Mont Olympia, Ski Mont Gabriel and Mont Habitant.

There is cross-country skiing at Parc linéaire Le P’tit Train du Nord and Réseau de Morin Heights et Corridor Aérobiqu.

I'm a spa girl, and there are destination and day spas, Nordic spas and inn spas. For a complete list, go here.

And of course there's Tremblant, the #1 ski resort in Eastern North America (according to the readers of Ski Magazine).

It's owned by Intrawest, who also own Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia.
