Sue Frause is an American writer and photographer. She's had a major crush on Canada ever since she visited British Columbia as a young girl. Even if your heart doesn't pitter patter over all things Canadian, read on. You'll find photos, travel tips, road notes and the latest news and thoughts about our friends north of the 49th parallel. Cool idea, eh?

Window on Canada : Walkabout '96
I was walking along Jalan Kajeng in Ubud, Bali yesterday morning with family and friends on my way to the rice fields.
The path was lined with pavers from people and businesses who donated money to make the pathway look nice.
One of the pavers was the one pictured here : Pat-George, Canada, Walkabout '96.
I'm not sure if that was an organized tour or just Pat and George, two Canadians walking around the world.
Whatever the explanation, it was fun to spot somebody from my hemisphere.
