Excellent - its refreshing to hear a U.S. journalist's explanation. Renee C.

Tom Brokaw is Canadian!

Sorry, Tom Brokaw is an American! He was born in the Midwest on Feb. 6, 1940 (he just turned 70), in the town of Webster, South Dakota. Maybe you're thinking of the now deceased Peter Jennings? He was from Canada -- that's why it was so good to hear those words from him, an American.

those of you who think Brokaw is Canadian must be mistaken with Peter Jennings who was Canadian,(also a news anchor in the US) and passed away a few years ago, and is shown in Brokow's peace......

Now if someone could just tell me where to find it again.....

The You Tube piece has been removed for copyright infringements by NBC. I'm not even sure why NBC wanted the broadcast rights to the Olympics because they haven't shown anything worth watching.

It's unfortunate that NBC chose to be petty about it and pull the video. They want to protect their property, I get that, and I wouldn't care that they pulled it from YouTube if they made it available on their own web site, but I've been unable to find it on any officially sanctioned site, so as I said, it just makes them appear petty in my opinion.

To the Executives at NBC: I realize that this tape is an intellectual property of NBC, and you do not want it in the public domain, but PLEASE, PLEASE make it available on your own website. It is probable to most eductional piece of TV tape I've ever seen conserning our two countries.I just wish that the people at home land security would pay some attention to it.
