Chef Meets BC Grape is returning for its 13th season this spring. The tri-city event, sponsored by Wines of British Columbia, is being held in Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver to celebrate the best of BC wine and food. It highlights all things grown, crushed, raised and produced in British Columbia and is the largest tasting of BC VAQ wines in Western Canada.
Although the May 10 event in Calgary is sold out, the other two cities still have available tickets. Along with sampling hundreds of BC VQA wines, there will be paired small plates created by top chefs in each city.

Chefs from the three city's top local restaurants will compete in a paring challenge, featuring locally grown and sourced ingredients to vie for awards for Judges' Best BC VQA Pairing, Judges' Best Dish Award and Consumers' Choice Award for Dish of the Night. The competing chefs will be awarded points for use of a local ingredient in some complement of their dish.
There will also be an opportunity to meet Guest Chef Ned Bell from the Vancouver Aquarium at an exclusive Ocean Wise Bubbles & Seafood station.
The three events support local charities, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Ocean Wise, The Arts Club and BC Hospitality Foundation. Tickets are available online.
