RAINCOUVER: Hotel Vancouver embraces rainy season with a twist on afternoon tea

This week could have been called Snowcouver in Vancouver, but whatever the title, any weather is a fine time for tea. Fairmont Hotel Vancouver's Notch8 restaurant is hosting a special tea this winter called Raincouver Afternoon Tea -- it's a playful twist on traditional afternoon tea.

The menu, created by the hotel's in-house pastry shop under Chef de Cuisine Dennis Peckham, includes delectable savory fare, scones and sweets -- and of course, tea. For those with tiny tots, there is a Children's Tea with kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats.

Raincouver Afternoon Tea is served now through April 12, 2020 in the Notch8 Restaurant & Bar, located off the lobby of Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Service is Wednesday through Sunday, with seatings at 11AM, 1PM and 3PM. Adults $65 ($50 US), Children 6-12 $32.50 ($25US) and ages 5 and under complimentary. Reservations at 604.662.1900 or booked online.
