
Summer doesn't officially start until June 21, but Steveston, BC's Music at the Cannery outdoor concert series kicks off on Friday, June 18. The venue is the Gulf of Georgia Cannery's Tank Deck and concerts begin at 6:30 PM.
Tonight's music is by the the Dancetime Big Band, a ten-piece swing band. To celebrate opening night, free East Coast swing dance lessons will be given before the concert at 6 PM.
Admission is by donation. Enjoy cocktails/dinner before the music begins at one of Steveston's boardwalk restaurants; arrive early at the cannery for best seating. The rest of the series includes:
