Sue Frause is an American writer and photographer. She's had a major crush on Canada ever since she visited British Columbia as a young girl. Even if your heart doesn't pitter patter over all things Canadian, read on. You'll find photos, travel tips, road notes and the latest news and thoughts about our friends north of the 49th parallel. Avalanches claim two more lives in BC
More bad/sad news from British Columbia. A skier and snowboarder have died in avalanches, this time at Whistler Blackcomb. The Globe and Mail has the details: Two men killed in Whistler avalanches.
Prior to the New Year's tragedies, eight snowmobilers were killed in an avalanche near Fernie, BC.
I'll stick to dog sledding in winter, like last year in Norway
