Seattle’s Kimpton Hotels is offering a fun deal to Canadians who want to avoid the 2010 Winter Olympics hoopla.
From Feb. 1 – March 1, 2010 the three Kimpton Hotels: Alexis Hotel, Hotel Vintage Park and Hotel Monaco, are offering Canadians the Escape the Olympics rate – 20.10% off the best available room rate.
All you need to do is show your Canadian ID upon check-in.
Note: Amtrak Cascades now has two trains a day between Vancouver, BC and Seattle. The new southbound morning train leaves Vancouver at 6:40 AM, arriving in Seattle at 11:05 AM. The northbound trains leave Seattle at 7:40 AM and 6:50 PM.
