Daniel Cloutier inline skates cross-country from Vancouver to Halifax

I thought it was somewhat of an accomplishment to take VIA Rail Canada cross-country from Halifax, NS to Vancouver, BC back in November 2009.

But Daniel Cloutier, a university student from Winnipeg, sort of makes my adventure pale in comparison to his roller blading across Canada. Here's how he explains it on his website:
"My name is Daniel Cloutier, I'm 21 years old and I am a full time university student. I have a big goal in mind. I've decided to roller blade across Canada in order to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. I was inspired to take on this challenge since I lost my uncle to cancer a couple of years ago and more recently my grandmother was successfully treated with kidney cancer. If all goes according to plan, I will be starting this rollerblading adventure on May 1st, 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia and planning on ending it in July in Halifax, Nova Scotia. All the money I raise on this trek will be donated to find a cure for this horrible disease."
According to the CBC, Daniel made his goal, dipping his skates into the Atlantic Ocean at Point Pleasant Park on Saturday, July 24 at 1 PM. One week ahead of schedule.

It's so nice to go out and skate like a kid for once in a while. Now even if I am an adult, I bought roller skates for my own, just for fun.
