I've only been to Ontario's Niagara Falls once, during my VIA Rail Canada cross-country trip from Halifax to Vancouver in November, 2009.
It was a beautiful autumn day during my visit. I can only imagine New Year's Eve at these famous falls with fireworks on high! Here's a list of what's happening New Year's Eve in Niagara Falls and throughout the month of January:
Niagara Falls New Year's Eve Bash - 6:30 PM to 12:05 AM - Free. Entertainment includes Canadian groups Barenaked Ladies, Great Big Sea, comedian Calwyn Shurgold, rapper Kardinall Offishall and Running Red Lights.
New Year's Eve Fireworks Over the Falls - 9 PM and Midnight - Free
Winter Festival of Lights - Canada's largest light festival - through Jan. 31, 2011. Nightly fireworks at 9 PM.
