Heath Ledger: Vancouver was next filming locale on actor's list

Due to the untimely and tragic death of Australian actor Heath Ledger, filming of his current production in Vancouver has been put on hold, and the movie's future is in doubt.

The 28-year-old Ledger was to have arrived in Vancouver today, with filming to begin on Monday. The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam, also stars Christopher Plummer and Tom Waits.

According to The Vancouver Sun, 100 crew members have been laid off the $30 million production in Vancouver.
Interior and blue screen shots were to take place at The Bridge Studios in Burnaby.
