Royal Wedding List: Did any Canadians make the cut?
It looks like Canada did make the cut. No, Prime Minister Stephen Harper won't be there (nor will President Obama), but former Ontario Lieutenant Governor Hilary Weston and her husband Galen will be among the elite at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011.
But across Canada, royal watchers will rise 'n shine early Friday morning to watch the marathon coverage on television, and restaurants and hotels are bringing out their finest tea pots as they hop on the wedding wagon. The Fairmont Empress in Victoria has been celebrating all of April with its Royal Month.
According to an article in The Province, the royal wedding list has caused some controversy. No surprise there.
