RIP Jack Layton: NDP Leader's touching last letter to Canadians
The USA could use some leaders like Jack Layton. He was a person and a politician who set the bar at a standard that should be matched by others. Sadly, the NDP Leader died this morning at his home in Toronto following a battle with cancer.
He was 61 years old, far too young, and his death is a big loss for all of Canada and North America. Tributes are pouring in around the world via emails, social networking and even YouTube.
Jack Layton was born in Montreal and raised in Hudson, Quebec. He leaves his wife Olivia Chow and two children, Mike and Sarah. Not surprisingly, he also left a last letter to fellow Canadians:
